We all know the most important thing about writing online is, well, writing.

Writing consistently daily is hard work. There are times I feel like giving up or just be lazy, skip a day or two. Even on inspired days, I wonder if what I’ve written makes any sense.

So what’s the 2nd most important thing?

Have a great accountability partner (AP) or community!

Keeps (both of) you accountable:

Humans are really good at giving excuses to NOT do what we have to do.

“My dog ate my keyboard” falls apart really quickly when you say it out loud.

See how your AP or community group calls your bluff even if you think it’s legit. Many times, I rather turn on Netflix and just veg away. But knowing I need to check on my AP too, motivates me to start banging through the keyboard writing on @StoryChief.

Get immediate feedback before it goes public:

Think it’s the greatest or worst thing you wrote? You get an answer before the world sees it!

Your AP spots all the silly grammar or structural mistakes #Grammarly turns a blind eye to.

There are more occasions I doubt the quality of my content creations than I can count. And every time, my AP comes to the rescue and saves me from embarrassing myself. More often, she lifts my content to a new level.

Your only company during those lost day/nights :

1am, still typing away? Figuring out how to reduce that last 25 words to make TypeShare not show the ‘Headline may be cut off’ error?

Knowing you are not the only one going through the pain makes it a lot easier to bear. And maybe, your AP has a brilliantly simple solution that you missed… like reduce the font size.

Find a great Accountability Partner, it makes a world of difference.

Thank you @BethPay for being the best AP 🙂
